With the help of the financing, the business hopes to advance 3D-001, its primary IUD asset, by applying for an IND and starting a Phase 1 clinical trial this year. 3Daughters is a clinical development firm that specialises on evolutionary healthcare for women, and its CEO is Mary Beth Cicero.

The company’s first product, 3D-001, is a long-acting, frameless, magnetic, nonhormonal IUD that fits a woman’s body and is paired with its unique SliderTM system (insertion/retrieval), which makes the process simple and painless.

Mary Beth Cicero said: “We are thrilled to have garnered such strong support from our existing and new investors, all of whom share our vision of solving health issues for women. This investment marks the next chapter for 3Daughters and allows us to execute our streamlined development plans to move into the clinic. With this funding, we are getting closer to our promise to address significant and neglected issues, like IUD insertion pain, that women have been putting up with for over 50 years.”
