MA-based 3Daughters secures over $2M in seed funding. Along with a number of life science investors, Thairm Bio led the round. Other unidentified investors included the Argosy Foundation, Wexford Science and Technology, UMass Amherst, and others.
With the help of the financing, the business hopes to advance 3D-001, its primary IUD asset, by applying for an IND and starting a Phase 1 clinical trial this year. 3Daughters is a clinical development firm that specialises on evolutionary healthcare for women, and its CEO is Mary Beth Cicero.

The company’s first product, 3D-001, is a long-acting, frameless, magnetic, nonhormonal IUD that fits a woman’s body and is paired with its unique SliderTM system (insertion/retrieval), which makes the process simple and painless.
