California-Based Ohmium Appoints Mark Griffin as Chief Commercial Officer

He will lead the company's global sales and marketing teams, drive business growth, attract new customers, and build partnerships as demand for green hydrogen continues to grow.

Before joining ScottishPower, Mark Griffin spent more than 10 years at BOC UK and Ireland, where he grew a small industrial fuel cell business into a fast-growing operation. He achieved around 20% annual revenue growth for six years by improving the company's commercial strategy, securing long-term supply agreements, and expanding partner networks.

He also managed major national accounts focused on clean energy solutions and successfully led Contracts for Difference (CfD)-style bids that secured multi-million-pound government support across different markets and regulatory environments.

Mark Griffin has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, including hydrogen and renewable energy. During his five years at ScottishPower, he led hydrogen market development and business energy sales, helping deliver two large green hydrogen projects worth more than £220 million.

The projects were supported by government funding and backed by 15-year supply agreements with customers in the glass and distillery industries. They replaced natural gas with cleaner hydrogen and gave Griffin strong experience in energy transition, risk management, and building long-term customer partnerships.
