Along with the funding, Dr. Monica Jain from Wavemaker 360 and Kathryn Heffernan from UPMC Enterprises joined Elektra’s board of directors. With the money, the business plans to develop new markets and payers for its evidence-based care delivery platform, as well as self-insured companies.

Elektra Health, led by Jannine Versi and Alessandra Henderson, uses a proprietary, evidence-based menopause care model that incorporates telemedicine care, 100+ hours of evidence-based education, and private community support from peers in addition to dedicated 1:1 ongoing support from women’s health experts (also known as “menopause doulas”).

The organisation collaborates with health plans and businesses nationwide, including as EmblemHealth and Mass General Brigham Health Plan.
