Tax Guard and Casca Partner to Add Verified IRS Data to AI Lending

Apr 21, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Tax Guard, a Cogency Global company, has partnered with Casca to improve how lenders check and assess borrower risk. The partnership combines real-time IRS tax data with AI automation to create a smooth and reliable lending process.

As lenders use more AI, balancing speed with proper checks is a major challenge. This partnership helps solve that by combining both. Casca can automate up to 90% of the loan process—from application to closing—allowing banks and lenders to handle loans up to 30 times faster than usual.

As a longtime industry partner Tax Guard provides lenders with verified IRS tax data to help assess credit risk and detect fraud. By integrating this data into Casca’s automated system, lenders can enhance due diligence, streamline loan origination and make more informed credit decisions.

“AI can speed up lending, but trusted data is still essential,” said Rachel Sexton, VP of Product at Tax Guard. She said that by adding verified IRS tax data into Casca’s workflow lenders can automate more steps while still keeping strong risk checks, and making confident credit decisions.

"Casca is built on the principle that small business owners deserve faster, fairer access to capital," said Lukas Haffer, CEO and co-founder of Casca. "By automating the intake and analysis of financial information, we help lenders make smarter, more timely credit decisions. Tax Guard's IRS-verified tax transcripts are a critical part of the data powering our decisioning, and they're a great example of reducing friction for both borrowers and lenders. This helps cut application abandonment and lets small business owners stay focused on running and growing their businesses."
