CT-based Valisure Secures an Investment from AlleyCorp . The deal’s total value was not made public.

The company plans to use the money to grow its team of specialists, speed up research and development, and solidify its position as the industry leader in independent pharmaceutical quality assurance.

The goal of healthcare supply chain technology business Valisure, led by new CEO Chip Phillips, is to offer independent certification through chemical analysis and transparency to quality. Large public and private health systems are utilizing the services.

Remarkable healthcare executive Chip Phillips specializes in the pharmacy services industry. Having held executive leadership positions at CVS Health and as President of ANDA, a Teva Pharmaceutical Industries affiliate, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. He led Minute Clinic, TheraCom, Inc., and the Medicaid division of CVS.

David Light, a co-founder of Valisure, became president after Chip was named CEO. Similarly, Jill Nailor, R.Ph., has become Chief Business Development Officer, Adam Clark-Joseph, Ph.D., has taken on a leadership role as Chief Analytics Officer, and Wolfgang Hinz, Ph.D., has become Chief Scientific Officer.
