American Startups Funding Roundup

Aviceda Therapeutics

Aviceda Therapeutics, a private, clinical-stage biotech company announced the closing of a $207.5 million Series C financing. Proceeds will support the ongoing Phase 2b/3 and planned pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial for AVD-104 in geographic atrophy (GA), a vision-threatening condition secondary to advanced age-related macular degeneration, and the expansion into other ophthalmic indications.

Tenvie Therapeutics

Tenvie Therapeutics launched with a commitment to transform the treatment of neurological diseases. The company combines a deep and diverse portfolio of small molecule assets, including programs acquired from Denali Therapeutics Inc., with a proven team of research and development leaders.

Inari

Inari, the SEEDesign™ company, announced the completion of a $144 million fundraise fueled by the performance of its first-generation products and progress toward commercialization.

Geneoscopy

Geneoscopy, Inc., a life sciences company focused on developing diagnostic tests for the advancement of gastrointestinal health, announced the closing of a Series C funding round raising $105 million.

Francis Medical

Francis Medical, Inc., a privately-held medical device company developing an innovative and proprietary water vapor ablation therapy for the treatment of prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer, announced the completion of the company’s oversubscribed $80 million Series C equity financing, the largest fundraising round to date for the company.

Matic Insurance Services Inc. (“Matic”), a leading insurtech platform, has secured $30 million from Vistara Growth, a provider of flexible growth capital to software and technology enabled services companies.

Twentyeight Health

Twentyeight Health, the leading digital-first women’s healthcare platform delivering convenient, affordable, and stigma-free reproductive and sexual care in 43 states, announces $10 million in Series A funding led by Seae Ventures, with participation from Impact America Fund, The Social Entrepreneurs’ Fund, RH Capital, Impact Engine, Gratitude Railroad, and Townhall Ventures.
