The company plans to use the funds to make scent design more accessible by expanding its AI-powered smell technology, Olfactory Intelligence, across different industries.
Osmo supports the full product lifecycle, from formulating to manufacturing and packaging, helping clients move efficiently from idea to market. The company uses its AI-powered scent technology to serve both large global consumer brands, and smaller emerging companies across different industries. This technology helps major companies lower fragrance costs and launch products faster, while also allowing smaller brands to create custom fragrances at more affordable prices.
“Osmo is opening a new sensory area for AI,” said Colin Beirne, Partner at Two Sigma Ventures and new Osmo board observer. “The company has shown that this technology works in the real market, making custom fragrance development available to brands that previously needed to spend millions. Fragrance is only the start. We support Osmo as it builds the foundation for digital smell technology, with future uses in healthcare testing and environmental monitoring.”
Alongside the funding announcement, Osmo has expanded its executive leadership team to support growth in operations and market expansion. The new C-suite includes:
- Mike Rytokoski, Chief Commercial Officer – Brings 30 years of experience in consumer packaged goods, with leadership roles at Unilever, Clorox, and Goodyear. Most recently, he was President of Ingredients and Fragrances at Amyris. At Clorox, he also served as President for Latin America and Asia operations.
- Mateusz Brzuchacz, Chief Operating Officer – Brings over 15 years of experience in flavours and fragrances, with roles at Phoenix Flavours & Fragrances, Givaudan, and IFF. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Phoenix Flavours & Fragrances and Chief Information Officer at Tilley Distribution.
- Nate Pearson, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Brings strong financial leadership experience supporting fast-growing brands, including Tesla, Lagunitas and LifeAID. Most recently, he served as VP of Finance for Mercedes-Benz’s North American EV charging platform, managing assets worth over $1 billion.
“What excites me most is that we are building technology that can change how industries use scent to improve human health and wellbeing,” said Alex Wiltschko, CEO and Founder of Osmo. “With this funding and our new leadership team, we are strengthening our commercial, operational, and financial capabilities to expand Olfactory Intelligence across the fragrance industry and other sectors.”
Osmo also welcomed Boet Brinkgreve as an independent board member. Boet brings more than 20 years of experience working across science and premium consumer markets. He previously led operations at DSM-Firmenich, the world’s largest fragrance company, and at the fragrance division of Richemont.
About Osmo

The company works with both global and emerging brands to create fragrances, supporting the entire process from formula development to manufacturing and packaging using its AI-powered scent technology, Olfactory Intelligence.
