Take2 Raises $450M in Series A Funding

Take2, a NYC-based provider of an AI agent platform purpose-built for healthcare recruiting, has raised $14 million in a Series A funding round led by Human Capital.

The round also saw participation from Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments, Reach Capital, SemperVirens VC, and Honeystone Ventures.

With this funding, Take2 will expand beyond interviews to create a network of AI agents that handle the full recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, credential verification, scheduling and onboarding. By automating more of the hiring funnel, Take2 aims to help healthcare organizations save millions each year while improving hiring quality and employee retention.

Take2 is an AI agent platform built for healthcare recruiting that tackles hiring bottlenecks with autonomous AI agents. Its first agent, the AI Interviewer, conducts phone interviews 24/7, evaluates candidates, records calls, and syncs results directly into applicant tracking systems—all without human involvement. Trained on healthcare-specific hiring data, the platform helps organizations assess candidates more accurately and provides predictive insights to improve hiring quality and retention.

Healthcare hiring has reached a breaking point. One in three new jobs in the U.S. is in healthcare, turnover often exceeds 50%, and vacancy costs are among the highest of any industry. Yet many recruiting workflows remain deeply manual.

Take2 is gaining traction as healthcare organizations seek faster, more scalable staffing solutions. The platform now supports leading healthcare providers, including several of the largest health systems in the U.S.

“Healthcare systems face huge pressure, and hiring is one of their biggest hidden costs,” said Yaniv Shimoni and Kaushik Narasimhan, co-founders of Take2. “We’re creating AI agents that do the work, not just assist, so that recruiting teams can focus on strategic decisions instead of manual, time-consuming tasks.”

“The bottom line is that Take2 delivers — it’s more than just a promise,” said Joe Gage, CHRO at Mercy Health and Chairperson-Elect of the Catholic Health Association. “It allows faster recruiting and hiring, creates a more cost-effective and scalable system, and improves the candidate experience.”
