
Crafting, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an end-to-end infrastructure platform, has raised $5.5 million in a Seed funding round led by Mischief.
The round also saw participation from WndrCo and a group of angel investors, including Andy Manoske, Arash Ferdowsi, Lenny Rachitsky, Gokul Rajaram, Merrill Lutsky, and other technical founders and operators.

The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and development work.
Crafting is designed specifically for engineers at AI-focused companies managing complex, multi-service systems with real data and dependencies, including early customers like Faire, Brex, Webflow, Verkada, Persona, and Instabase.
Crafting for Agents offers Kubernetes interception, multi-service orchestration, hot-swapping services, and automatic failover across regions and cloud providers. It creates production-like environments tailored to each customer’s tech stack, allowing teams to work quickly, and reliably. This helps engineering teams focus on their unique challenges while keeping control over complex systems.
Crafting for Agents is a platform that lets AI agents test code against real production dependencies like databases, caches, message queues and third-party services. It gives controlled access to credentials and infrastructure, so agents can work safely while meeting enterprise security standards.

AI generated code has grown quickly in modern engineering teams, but validation tools haven’t kept up. Agents can create pull requests, but they can not safely test changes in real production systems. Crafting fills this gap by letting agents work in production like environments designed for each company’s architecture.
Leading engineering teams are increasingly using AI generated code to boost output and speed. A recent survey found that 42% of committed code is now AI generated or assisted, and this is expected to rise to 65% by 2027. While autonomous agents are creating pull requests, monitoring repositories, and writing production code, validation hasn’t kept up. Code is being produced faster, but complex enterprise systems can’t be fully replicated in a sandbox, so engineers remain the bottleneck before anything can be deployed.
