Lux Aeterna, a Denver, CO-based space infrastructure company, has raised $10 million in a Seed funding round led by Konvoy.
The round also saw participation from Decisive Point, Cubit Capital, Wave Function, Space Capital, Dynamo Ventures, and Channel 39.

The company plans to use the funds to speed up the development and production of its main spacecraft, Delphi.
The new funding will support the company’s first demonstration launch and reentry, planned for Q1 2027. This mission will be the first test of a fully reusable satellite platform. The Delphi spacecraft will launch, carry multiple orbital payloads, reenter the atmosphere, and be recovered for refurbishment and reuse. Customers for the fully booked mission include commercial and defense leaders in hypersonic testing, on-orbit computing, and in-space manufacturing.
Lux Aeterna is a next generation space infrastructure company rethinking the orbital supply chain through satellite reentry and reuse. Led by experienced space hardware engineers, the company combines a proven conical heat shield with a modular satellite bus designed for safe reentry and quick refurbishment on the ground. This approach, along with its full-service model, turns satellites from single-use devices into reusable assets, creating the first circular supply chain for orbital operations.
The investment marks a move away from the traditional “one-way” space logistics model. While reusable rockets have lowered the cost of reaching orbit, there has been no reliable, affordable way to bring satellites and other assets back to Earth. As a result, billions of dollars’ worth of hardware is lost as space debris or burns up in the atmosphere, limiting the industry’s ability to grow.
In addition to commercial customers, Lux Aeterna has received strong government support. The company signed a Space Act Agreement with NASA Ames and two Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) to advance its reentry and thermal protection technologies. Lux Aeterna has also created a Defense Advisory Board to guide its growth and help meet the U.S. Department of War’s (DoW) needs for flexible space operations and resilient orbital infrastructure.
“Lux Aeterna is the first company creating a returnable satellite fleet that shortens mission timelines and lowers costs,” said Josh Chapman, Managing Partner at Konvoy. “With a team that has launched thousands of satellites, they have the expertise to build a fleet of reentry satellites, creating a new category in the space industry—similar to airline fleets on Earth. We believe they are about to open an entirely new market for space missions that hasn’t existed before.”
“The future of the space economy depends on fleets that can return to Earth reliably and relaunch quickly,” said Brian Taylor, Founder and CEO of Lux Aeterna. “Our approach shifts space operations from a ‘launch-and-burn’ model to a more efficient, cost-effective system that supports mass deployment, manufacturing, and defense. This unlocks opportunities and business models that were previously impossible or impractical.”
