Lucid Bots Raises $20M in Series B Funding

Lucid Bots, a Charlotte, NC-based provider of a platform for autonomous exterior cleaning, has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round led by Cubit Capital and Idea Fund Partners.

The round also saw participation from Taylor Rhodes, WaterStone Impact Fund, and Front Porch Ventures, in addition to existing investors.

The funding increased the total to $34 million.

The company plans to use the funds to grow its business, expand manufacturing in Charlotte, and accelerate the launch of its RaaS service, Lucid Refresh.

Lucid Refresh is a full-service subscription platform for exterior cleaning businesses. It gives companies an easier way to take on high-value cleaning jobs without investing heavily in robots, training, or operations.

Lucid Bots provides everything needed, including cleaning drones, an AI pressure washing robot, management software, training, job support, and backup equipment. Businesses bring the work, and Lucid delivers the tools and support to complete it.

The company serves many types of customers, from small independent operators to large businesses like Disney, Sunbelt Rentals, and commercial facility managers across the country.

With its Series B funding, Lucid is growing its main products. The Sherpa drone is becoming more advanced, and the company has launched Lavo AI, a fully automatic pressure washing robot with its own app and cloud system.

What makes Lucid different is its data, not just its machines. Its systems have collected hundreds of thousands of hours of real cleaning data from different environments. This helps its AI improve over time, enabling the robots to clean more effectively, adapt to conditions, and deliver consistent results.

Both products are built at the company’s large facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. This U.S.-based production helps meet government rules and allows Lucid to serve more commercial and government customers.

Lucid Bots is part of the NVIDIA Inception Program and is working with NVIDIA to improve its AI and automation technology.

Lucid Bots’ operators have generated over $75 million in exterior cleaning revenue using its systems, showing that the company succeeds when its users succeed. The Sherpa drone helps complete jobs 2 to 5 times faster, and most operators recover their investment in less than two months. With nearly 1,000 robots in use and 93% of new business coming from inbound interest, the company earned as much in 2025 as it did in its first seven years combined.

“We aim to bring software into the physical world through drones and robots and become a leading supplier in the U.S.,” said Andrew Ashur, Founder and CEO of Lucid Bots. “This funding will help us meet strong demand, grow our products, and speed up manufacturing and automation. The next 18 months will be very important for our growth and the industry.”

“Our customers run cleaning businesses,” said Vic Pellicano, President and Chief Platform Officer of Lucid Bots. “They don’t just need a robot—they need a way to take on bigger jobs, do them better, and avoid high upfront costs. What we offer is more like adding a robotics team to their business that they can use anytime.”

“Lucid Bots is tackling real challenges with strong leadership,” said Philip Carson, Partner at Cubit Capital. “They are helping solve the labour shortage in industrial work by creating technology that supports workers and makes jobs safer. Their progress is impressive, and we’re excited to support them.”

“Lucid Bots is more than just one product—it’s building a whole new platform,” said Lister Delgado, Managing Partner at Idea Fund Partners. “Their AI is trained on large amounts of real-world cleaning data, giving them a strong advantage. With U.S.-based manufacturing and solid business performance, they have the potential to become a leader in industrial automation.”

“The Lucid Sherpa drone has helped our business grow and stand out from competitors,” said Ryan Godwin, Owner of Godwin Facility Services. “It has played a big role in our success.”
