SAP SE, a global provider of enterprise software and business AI, has acquired Reltio Inc., a Redwood City–based company that offers cloud-based master data management (MDM) solutions.
The deal amount was not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 or Q3 of 2026, pending standard conditions such as regulatory approvals.
With this acquisition, SAP SE will enhance its SAP Business Data Cloud to unify, clean, and harmonize data from both SAP and non-SAP sources, preparing enterprise-wide data for AI-driven workflows.
Once completed, the acquisition will strengthen SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP BDC), supporting SAP’s AI-First and Suite-First strategy, and help evolve it into a fully interoperable enterprise data platform for company-wide AI. It will give customers the tools to unify, clean, and harmonize data across sources for better enterprise AI outcomes.

Reltio’s platform manages and governs all enterprise data, structured or unstructured. Its AI-powered entity resolution merges related records from different systems into a single reliable “golden record.” The cloud-native, AI-first platform provides a consistent view of customers, products, suppliers, locations, and employees across all applications. This ensures AI tasks run with more reliable and consistent data, giving customers a single source of truth and faster, more accurate AI outcomes.
Reltio’s data cleansing, unification, and agent-driven workflows will work with SAP Business Suite applications to provide trusted, consistent data, simplify integration, and support better business decisions and AI use cases. Low-latency delivery and support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) allow real-time, multiagent workflows across SAP and non-SAP systems. For example, an AI procurement agent can evaluate supplier risk and act almost instantly using accurate, up-to-date data. Reltio also offers prebuilt, industry-specific “velocity packs” with data models, rules, matching logic, and integrations for sectors like life sciences, healthcare, and financial services.
SAP will integrate Reltio to help customers govern and deliver master data as trusted, context-rich data products across multiple sources for both analytics and AI workloads. Reltio will become a key part of SAP BDC, with flexible options for customers to use it standalone or with other SAP products, while remaining available as a separate solution for the foreseeable future.
“Reltio is a perfect fit for SAP,” said Muhammad Alam, Executive Board Member for SAP Product & Engineering. “Bringing them in will strengthen our position as a top business AI provider by connecting SAP and non-SAP data to provide the context AI needs. AI can’t perform at its best when data is scattered across systems and lacks connection or context.”
“Partnering with SAP gives us a great opportunity to speed up our mission,” said Reltio Founder and CEO Manish Sood. “Enterprise AI needs trusted, connected data that works across all the different IT systems our customers use. This partnership helps us deliver Reltio as the system of context for both SAP and non-SAP environments, while keeping things seamless for our customers and partners.”
