Moonbounce, an AI control platform that helps systems work as intended at any scale, has launched with $12 million in funding, led by Amplify Partners and StepStone Group.
The round also saw participation from angel investors PrimeSet and Josh Leslie, former CEO of Cumulus Networks and Gremlin.
The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and development work.
As generative AI grows across industries, old content moderation methods—like manual reviews and strict rules—can’t keep up with systems making thousands of decisions every second. This creates risks for businesses in operations, reputation, and regulations. Moonbounce solves this problem with its technology that turns content policies into clear and consistent AI behavior.
Moonbounce is already used by companies in dating apps, AI chat tools, and content platforms like Civit.ai and Dippy. It has processed over 1 trillion tokens for more than 250 million monthly users and reviews about 50 million pieces of content every day. Teams can create, test, and launch content policies in days or weeks, rather than months, without heavy custom development.

In addition to its main product, Moonbounce offers a Playground—a test environment where teams can create and test policy rules, check edge cases, and see how changes will work before deploying them in real systems.
“Most companies know how they want their AI to behave, but the challenge is making sure it works that way every time,” said Brett Levenson, CEO of Moonbounce. “Moonbounce solves this by giving teams real-time control over AI decisions, so they can focus on growth instead of fixing problems.”
“Content moderation has always been a challenge for large online platforms, and with AI now central to many apps, it has become even harder,” said Lenny Pruss of Amplify Partners. “We invested in Moonbounce because we believe real-time safeguards will be essential for every AI-powered application.”
The team is led by Brett Levenson, former head of Meta’s Integrity unit, along with co-founder and CTO Ash Bhardwaj, who previously worked at Apple building large-scale cloud and AI systems.
