Rork, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an AI platform designed to build and launch mobile apps for the App Store using natural language, has raised $15 million in a Seed funding round led by Left Lane Capital.
The round also saw participation from Peak XV, True Ventures, Goodwater, and existing investor a16z Speedrun.
The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and further develop its products.
AI-powered software creation is becoming a major shift in technology. While many startups focus on building for websites, Rork has focused on mobile from the start—the most widely used and technically complex platform. People spend more time on their phones than on any other device, and for many, it’s their main screen.
Rork’s platform turns simple text prompts into fully working iOS and Android apps using Swift, React Native, and Expo. These are real apps that can be published directly to the App Store and Google Play.
AI is making it much easier for people to start software businesses. Entrepreneurs, designers, students, and creators can now turn ideas into live apps in hours—without needing funding, big teams, or coding skills.

A new group of founders is emerging through Rork. They are young, focused on building products, and active on platforms like TikTok. For example, 18-year-old student George Lampropoulos created WrestleAI, an AI-powered wrestling coach app, in about a month and grew it to over $30,000 in monthly revenue. By solving his own problem, finding a gap in the App Store, and using influencers to promote it, he quickly turned an idea into income.
This shows a bigger trend: as it becomes easier to build software, success depends less on technical skills and more on speed, creativity, and the ability to spot opportunities early.
Since launching its web product in February 2025, and its mobile app in September 2025, Rork has grown quickly. It is now a leading mobile AI coding platform, ranking among the top apps in the “Developer Tools” category on the App Store and becoming the top source of referrals to RevenueCat.
Most recently, the company launched Rork Max, powered by Claude Code and Claude Opus 4.6. The launch gained over 8 million views on X and doubled the company’s annual revenue in just two weeks.
Rork Max is the first web-based Swift app builder that can replace Xcode, Apple’s traditional tool for iOS development. It lets users create apps for all Apple platforms—including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Vision Pro, and iMessage—using simple English. Users can test apps on real devices and publish them to the App Store in just two clicks.
“Many people don’t fully realize how fast AI is advancing,” said Levan Kvirkvelia, co-founder of Rork. “AI is improving so quickly that it’s already changing entire industries. Rork is ahead because we believed early that AI would get much better at solving complex problems like software engineering—and that’s now happening.”
Rork was founded by experienced mobile app entrepreneurs Daniel Dhawan and Levan Kvirkvelia, who had each built multiple startups before. Dhawan had reached the top App Store rankings, while Kvirkvelia created a popular education app with over two million users.
The company first focused on AI tools for web development, but later shifted to mobile, a more complex and less developed area. Rork launched publicly in February 2025 with a single tweet, and quickly gained traction. Soon after, it raised $2.8 million from investors, including Andreessen Horowitz. Within a year Rork became the largest AI-platform for building mobile apps by web traffic.
“When people worry about AI taking jobs, we see it helping more people start businesses,” said Daniel Dhawan, co-founder of Rork. “Creating products is better than reselling, and the next generation of entrepreneurs will grow on the App Store—we’re already seeing this with younger builders. Rork helps turn users into entrepreneurs.”
“Mobile is the most valuable platform today,” said Matthew Miller, Managing Partner at Left Lane Capital. “There is huge spending and attention on mobile apps. AI is making it easier to build software, and Rork is bringing this change to mobile. We’re excited to support Daniel and Levan as they help more people build for the mobile economy.”
