Livid, a Dover, DE-based provider of an ad-free video hosting platform for creators and small businesses, has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Geige Vandentop and Dan Briggs, co-founders of StreamYard.
The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and speed up development.
Livid focuses on creating products people truly enjoy, with strong user-focused design and excellent customer support.
The company challenges the common approach used by platforms after being acquired, where prices go up, and users feel stuck because their content is locked in. Livid believes users should have full control over their data and the freedom to move it easily.
Its tool, L.O.V.E., connects to video platforms and lets users download or transfer all their content at once, without manual effort. It even keeps folders, and settings intact, and users aren’t forced to switch to Livid. The goal is simple: give users control over their own content.

Livid also offers a simple and affordable pricing plan, with features like large storage, customization, and analytics included—without hidden fees, limits, or complicated pricing tiers.
“Creators and businesses have been locked in and treated unfairly for so long that it feels normal,” said Nic Taylor. “Our goal is to be the most user-friendly video hosting platform, with clear pricing, honest policies, and real support—built by people who understand how these platforms really work.”
“We believe in building products people truly love—that’s what we did at StreamYard,” said Vandentop. “It was tough to see Bending Spoons acquire our parent company, lay off most employees, raise prices, and upset users. When they bought Vimeo, we expected the same thing to happen again.”
