ThinkLabs AI, a startup focused on developing technology to help enhance grid planning through a combination of intelligent automation and AI, secures $5million in seed funding.
Along with participation from Blackhorn Ventures, Amplify Capital, Mercuria Energy, and a national US energy firm, Powerhouse Ventures and Active Impact Investments co-led the round.
The money will be used by the business to grow both its operations and growth initiatives.
ThinkLabs AI, a specialised AI development and deployment firm headed by CEO Josh Wong, seeks to use AI to strengthen vital industries and infrastructure in the direction of global energy sustainability.

The company, which was founded by GE Vernova, offers ThinkLabs Copilot, a digital assistant that uses proprietary AI digital twins with physics information to understand the real world and serve as a foundation model for engineering systems.
In addition to augmenting centralised operational systems like Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS) and Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), the ThinkLabs Copilot is being created to support natural language interactions and enhance edge intelligence.
