The partnership is focused on using AI to improve cybersecurity and help protect people. Abnormal AI aims to stop cybercrime with AI, while OpenAI works to ensure AI benefits people.

Together, the companies will help businesses adopt AI safely, strengthen security, and use AI for important business and security needs with better visibility and control.

Abnormal will join OpenAI's Daybreak Cyber Partner Program as an early security partner. The program brings OpenAI together with cybersecurity companies to develop practical and secure solutions for security teams.

The companies will explore how OpenAI's AI models and Codex Security can work with Abnormal's Behavioral AI to help security teams monitor AI agent activity and detect unusual behavior. Abnormal's main security products will continue to use its own Behavioral AI technology.

Through the partnership, Abnormal will expand its use of OpenAI across its business and work with OpenAI to help other companies adopt AI safely. The two companies will also share lessons from using AI in areas such as engineering, customer operations, and security.

Through Daybreak, OpenAI brings together advanced AI models, Codex Security, Trusted Access for Cyber, and industry partnerships to help security teams find and fix vulnerabilities, investigate threats, and strengthen security across their organizations.
