Coty Appoints Soraya Benchikh as Chief Financial Officer

Coty Inc. has appointed Soraya Benchikh as it's new Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 September 2026. She will succeed Laurent Mercier.

The appointment comes after Coty introduced a new operating structure on July 2 to bring business decisions closer to its markets and combine research and development with supply chain operations.
Benchikh brings more than 20 years of international finance and management experience with major global consumer companies. Most recently, she served as CFO of British American Tobacco (BAT), where she held several senior roles, including President of BAT France and Regional Finance Director for Europe.

She was also part of BAT's leadership team during its transformation and previously spent nearly four years at Diageo, most recently as President of Europe. She started her finance career at General Electric and Gillette. Benchikh will join Coty's Executive Committee and report directly to Markus Strobel.
