ADAMnetworks Appoints Philippe Johnston as Field CIO

In his new role, Johnston will work closely with the executive team to help shape the company’s global strategy, build relationships with government and business leaders, and provide guidance on AI cybersecurity, digital transformation, and innovation efforts.

The appointment supports ADAMnetworks’ growth in enterprise, government, and international cybersecurity markets. As organizations look for better ways to stop AI-driven ransomware, data theft, and cyberattacks before they spread, ADAMnetworks continues to focus on proactive cybersecurity solutions.

Johnston is widely recognized as one of Canadas leading technology executives and digital transformation experts. Over a career spanning several decades, he has served in senior leadership roles as Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) across multiple federal government departments and agencies.

He has led large scale modernization programs, improved critical IT infrastructure, strengthened cybersecurity strategies, and supported digital services used by millions of Canadians. In 2022, he was named one of Canadas Top Tech Influencers by IT World Magazine.

ADAMnetworks continues to strengthen its focus on protecting critical infrastructure with its agentless Preemptive Defense platform. The platform uses Zero Trust Connectivity to help prevent ransomware and data theft by stopping attacks before they can spread across a network.

Johnston also served as President of the CIO Association of Canada (CIOCAN), where he promoted innovation, leadership and the growth of Canada’s digital economy. His contributions have earned him national recognition including the prestigious CIOCAN Lifetime Achievement Award.
