About Etched
Founded in 2022 by Gavin Uberti, Robert Wachen, Etched develops frontier inference clusters designed to make AI inference faster, more cost-efficient, and more scalable.
The company uses deep hardware and software co-design to build rack-scale systems focused on high throughput and low latency. Its infrastructure is designed to support increasingly large AI models and emerging architectures.

Etched achieved first-pass silicon success in less than three years after its seed funding. The company emerged from stealth in June with more than 400 employees and a functioning chip and has since delivered its first racks to customers.
Core offerings include:
- AI inference clusters
- Rack-scale computing systems
- Specialized AI hardware
- High-throughput inference infrastructure
- Advanced memory systems
Core Technologies / Products / Services
| Capability/Product | Application/Use Case |
| Inference Clusters | Accelerates large-scale AI model inference |
| Low Voltage Inference (LVI) | Increases compute density within the same power envelope |
| Cluster Scale Memory (CSM) | Creates a shared memory pool across an entire cluster |
| Rack-Scale Systems | Delivers high throughput and low latency for AI workloads |
Leadership Comments
"We’ve felt the urgency to get our hardware into customers’ hands and run real workloads since day one. Jane Street putting this cluster into production is proof of what we’ve built,” said Gavin Uberti, co-founder and CEO of Etched.
“Our first deployment is a small step forward in our mission to run the world’s inference,” Uberti said. “It took us three years to deliver our first rack from scratch. Our next one will be much faster.”
