SUMMARY
- Skyfire and Forter expanded their partnership to improve AI shopping.
- The deal aims to reduce fraud and approve more payments.
- Skyfire offers AI payment tools, while Forter prevents fraud.
Skyfire and Forter have strengthened their partnership to improve checkout success rates for AI agent-driven shopping without increasing fraud risk.
Traditional bot detection tools often block AI-agents because their browsing behaviour looks automated, even when they are acting on behalf of real customers. This can prevent genuine purchases, and lead to lost sales for merchants.
At the same time, fraudsters may pretend to be legitimate AI agents to carry out fraudulent transactions. This makes it harder for merchants to identify trustworthy agents, especially when AI platforms hide identity details.
Skyfire and Forter are working together to identify trusted AI agents and block harmful automated activity. The integration adds Skyfire’s KYA (Know Your Agent) data to Forter’s fraud detection system to help assess AI-driven purchases. Forter said agentic orders across its network have increased more than four times since August.

The partnership aims to help merchants approve more genuine purchases, reduce chargeback risks and allow trusted AI agents to complete transactions without extra steps for customers. The checkout process remains unchanged with new agent data added to existing risk checks.
The companies tested the solution with Jomashop, a Brooklyn-based online retailer of luxury watches, jewellery and accessories. Jomashop increased its agent-driven checkout success rate to nearly 100% without an increase in chargebacks.
Eran Vanounou, Chief Technology, and Product Officer at Forter, said the partnership addresses where ecosystem friction is hitting hardest. “Agentic commerce fails if retailers can not tell the difference between an authorized buyer, and a script trying to look like one,” Vanounou said.
Craig DeWitt, Co-Founder and Head of Product at Skyfire, said the integration removes one of the biggest barriers to scaling agentic commerce. “AI agents represent an entirely new channel for commerce, but today's fraud and security systems weren't built to recognize them,” DeWitt said.
