CA-based AI Startup Artisan AI Secures Additional Funding from a Sequoia Scout which has doubled the valuation from $15m to $30m. The startup will be in the W24 Y Combinator batch; it recently raised a pre-seed of $2.3 million.
Artisan AI was founded by me, the 22-year-old CEO Jaspar Carmichael-Jack (who previously founded an international branding agency) and Dr. Rupert Dodkins, the CTO, who holds an 8-year machine learning experience and a PhD in astronomy from the University of Oxford. Artisans are digital workers who resemble humans and automate job functions from start to conclude.

Rather than being just another SaaS product that teams to employ, artisans are meant to complement teams. On December 11th, the first Artisan, Ava, will go live. With a feature-rich SaaS platform that can be handled only through Slack conversations, she streamlines the sales process.
Utilising a database of more than 250 million leads, Ava prospects, composes highly customised emails, responds to inquiries from prospects, and schedules meetings on the calendars of human sales representatives.
