The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and accelerate development.
Boomband, an AI-driven talent marketplace founded by Monster.com creator Jeff Taylor, is creating an alternative for people frustrated by outdated hiring systems, and recruiters overwhelmed by endless applications. The platform focuses on seeing candidates as complete individuals, not just keywords on resumes or obsolete profiles.
“Having worked with Jeff Taylor at Monster.com, I was eager to invest in his latest innovation
in the talent space,” said Peter Blacklow, Managing Director at Boston Seed Capital.
“Boomband stands out because of its strong founding team and deep understanding of the evolving job market. Jeff’s experience building one of the first and most influential digital employment platforms gives him a unique view of today’s AI trends and workforce changes.
That insight shaped Boomband’s development and sets the company up for ambitious growth.”
Why Boomband? Because the current hiring system is broken.
Today’s hiring system is all noise and volume—endless resumes and thousands of applications. Recruiters are overwhelmed with unqualified candidates, and job seekers are worn out from constant rejection.
“LinkedIn is where careers go to scroll. Boomband is built for discovery,” said Jeff Taylor, Founder and CEO. “If you’ve ever applied for a job and heard nothing back, or felt invisible because your story didn’t fit the mould, this is for you. With 7.5 million Americans out of work, people are rethinking their lives, work-life balance, and careers. Sending a resume into a black hole doesn’t work—it’s dehumanising, inefficient, and costs real opportunities.”
Boomband changes the game:
- No more cold applications. Job seekers (Players) show interest in verified roles, while companies (Scouts) send Job Signals—private, AI-powered outreach focused on quality over quantity.
- No more resumes. Players create Dossiers—a complete, multimedia profile showcasing their work, projects, passions, values, and goals.
- No more job boards. The Arena is Boomband’s real-time discovery space, where talent and opportunity connect based on mutual fit.
Boomband puts people—not keywords—at the heart of talent discovery.
“We’re not fixing the resume—we’re replacing it,” said Taylor. “The world doesn’t need more job boards. It needs a new way for people and companies to connect based on who they truly are.”
“Everyone deserves to be seen,” said Taylor. “And as we build the right system, they will be.”
