Boston-based Lightmatter secures an investment from SIP Global Partners. Lightmatter is valued at over $1.2 billion and has raised over $420 million to far.

With funding, the company wants to grow its team, establish an office in Toronto, and shorten its time to market. Lightmatter develops and implements photonic processors, interconnects, and software under the leadership of CEO Nick Harris.
