Captur Raises $6M in Seed Funding

Captur, an NYC-based AI infrastructure company for enterprise mobile apps that verifies user-submitted photos for quality and accuracy, has raised $6 million in a Seed funding round led by Rally Ventures.

The round also saw participation from existing investor SVV (Sure Valley Ventures).

The company plans to use the funds to grow its team and speed up product development as it expands its edge AI engine into logistics, micro-mobility, and retail.

Captur is an AI platform for enterprise mobile apps that quickly checks user-submitted photos for quality and accuracy. The technology runs directly on users’ phones, analyzing images in 30 milliseconds without needing an internet connection or expensive cloud resources. Captur processes tens of millions of images each month for delivery, mobility, and e-commerce platforms.

When a company needs a photo as proof—like for a delivery, a parked bike, or a completed inspection—they rely entirely on the person taking it. A bad photo can cost money or a contract. Captur prevents this by ensuring the photo is correct before it’s taken.

The platform not only recognizes what’s in an image but also gives real-time feedback to users so they can fix mistakes before finishing a task. For example, when a rider snaps a photo of a parked scooter to end their trip, Captur immediately checks if it’s parked correctly, preventing errors and city fines before they happen.

Current solutions like cloud processing or manual checks are slow, costly, and cannot give real-time feedback. Captur runs advanced computer vision entirely on the device, reaching human-level accuracy on over 6,000 mobile devices—from cheap Android phones to the newest iPhones. On-device processing provides instant verification, scales easily, and keeps costs stable no matter how many images are processed.

Early customers are noticing quick results. “After adding Captur’s SDK, disputed delivery claims dropped 30% in the first week,” said Heindrik Bernabe, CTO and Co-Founder of GoBolt. “For fast-moving drivers, cloud processing isn’t practical—uploading and waiting for feedback causes delays. Captur provides both speed and accuracy, something other AI logistics tools can’t match.”

“As computer vision improved and smartphones became more powerful, we realized we could move AI from the cloud to users’ devices, enabling instant verification,” said Charlotte Bax, Founder and CEO of Captur. “Now, any industry with mobile users can give immediate, smart feedback when it matters most.”

“Captur is tackling a tough technical challenge that gives them a strong competitive advantage,” said Ben Fried, Venture Partner at Rally Ventures. “They’ve put powerful AI on smartphones, removing the need for a data centre while achieving human-level accuracy in just 30 milliseconds on thousands of devices. Getting this kind of performance on-device takes rare expertise that’s hard to copy.”
