Century Health Raises $5M in Seed Funding Led by Origin Ventures

Century Health, a NYC company that specializes in applying AI to real-world clinical data to accelerate research, has raised $5 million in a Seed funding round led by Origin Ventures.
The round also saw participation from InnovateHealth Ventures, 25madison, Next Play Ventures, 2048 Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and strategic angels.
The company plans to use the funding to expand collaborations with pharmaceutical and life sciences partners, grow its specialty provider data network, and strengthen its AI-powered data curation infrastructure.
Century Health was founded to improve how clinical data is used to help patients. Its AI platform, the Century Health Abstraction & Retrieval Model (CHARM), automates the organization and improvement of fragmented clinical data to create high-quality real-world evidence that supports drug development and improves clinical outcomes.
Clinical research is often slowed by the time and cost of manually reviewing data. Although electronic health records contain valuable patient information, much of it is stored in unstructured formats, such as clinical notes, imaging reports, and physician documentation. Century Health automates this process to turn that data into clean, research-ready datasets.
Century Health’s CHARM platform now achieves 97% accuracy when compared with clinical expert review, the standard used by pharmaceutical and research partners to evaluate data for research and regulatory purposes.
Over the past year, the company expanded its data network 60x, now including leading provider groups across neurology, nephrology, ophthalmology, respiratory, metabolic, and immunology. It also works with multiple top 5 pharmaceutical companies as partners.
Century Health is continuing to grow its disease-specific registry network, expand partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, and enhance CHARM’s capacity for complex data abstraction and harmonization.
The company’s goal is to make real world clinical data more usable and reliable for researchers, providers and life sciences partners, thereby accelerating discovery and improving treatments for complex diseases.

"Century Health is accelerating medical breakthroughs by unlocking real-world clinical data across the entire drug lifecycle, creating a win-win for providers and life sciences companies," said Prashant Shukla, Partner at Origin Ventures. "Upstream, it's the fuel for AI models driving discovery, disease modeling, and patient stratification; downstream, it's the evidence needed to demonstrate safety and effectiveness, differentiate their drugs, and win payer negotiations."
"Structuring clinical data historically required extensive manual work that can now be automated and scaled, creating unprecedented opportunity for healthcare data infrastructure. Century Health operates with the speed the life sciences industry needs and the clinical rigor it demands. This funding lets us expand our network, go deeper into priority disease areas, and generate the critical evidence that shapes patient care," said Vish Srivastava, Co-Founder and CEO of Century Health.
