Clean Green Golf Balls started as a passion project by brothers Rami and Sami Mubasher. They noticed that over a million golf balls were lost to landfills and golf courses each year, so they began collecting and selling them. While the initial balls were low-quality, the brothers soon developed a process to clean, refurbish, and resell them as playable golf balls making the entire process eco-friendly.
In June 2021, they officially launched Clean Green Golf Balls. Since then, the brand has shipped over 20 million products and earned more than 5,000 five-star reviews. Customers can purchase their golf balls through the official website, TikTok Shop, and Amazon, choosing from brands like Titleist, Srixon, Nike, TaylorMade, Callaway, Volvik, and Bridgestone.
When they appeared on Shark Tank, Rami and Sami originally asked for $350,000 in exchange for 5% equity. Ultimately, they secured a deal from Robert Herjavec and Kevin O’Leary: $350,000 for 15% equity plus a $1 royalty per unit sold. So far, $1.05 million has been paid in royalties alone.
