To build their authorization service, they are partnering with Stripe to tightly integrate Stripe Billing. Together, they will create the easiest way to subscribe users to plans and grant access to features based on the plan that was purchased ā all with no webhooks required.
Their Series B was led by Reid Christian at CRV, who they have been trading notes with for years. Reid and CRV are no strangers to modern developer tools, having invested in Vercel in 2015, during the earliest days of Next.js. they were thrilled to be working with him for this next phase of Clerk and beyond.
