Mr. Berger, 67, is a Senior Partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he has worked since 1989. He has been a Partner for more than 20 years and focuses on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder activism.
He has held several leadership roles at the firm, including serving on its board of directors, chairing its Policy Committee, and serving on the board of its venture capital fund.

Since May 2023, Mr. Berger has been President of the American College of Governance Counsel. He also serves as a director of the Long-Term Stock Exchange and chairs its Nominating and Governance Committee.
Since 2023, he has co-chaired the annual Rome Conference on AI, Ethics and Governance at the Vatican and serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations. He earned his J.D. and B.A. from Duke University.
