Jul 17, 2026 | By Devin Jacobs

Pulse Security, a Los Altos, CA-based cybersecurity company providing an AI-driven operational management platform, has raised $8 million in a Seed funding round led by Foundation Capital, with participation from Zetta Venture Partners.

SUMMARY

  • Pulse Security raised $8 million in a seed funding round led by Foundation Capital.
  • The company develops an AI-powered cybersecurity platform that helps organizations automate and manage security operations.
  • The funding will support business growth and further development of its AI-powered security platform.

The company will use the funding to expand its operations and continue developing its products and technology.

Today, many security teams manage their work using spreadsheets, outdated policies, and disconnected tools. This creates extra manual work and makes it harder for teams to stay organized and effective.

Pulse solves this by adding an AI layer that connects with the tools companies already use. Its platform brings together data from security systems, cloud services, identity platforms, and documents such as reports, communications, and spreadsheets.

By combining security risks, technical data, compliance requirements, and business priorities in one place, Pulse gives security leaders a complete view of their security program. This helps them make better decisions, automate tasks, communicate more clearly, and manage security more efficiently.

Cybersecurity threat's are growing rapidly. According to NIST, the number of reported software vulnerabilities (CVEs) increased by 263% between 2020 and 2025. VulnCheck also found 884 newly exploited vulnerabilities in 2025, with nearly 29% being exploited on the same day they were publicly disclosed.

At the same time, advanced AI is helping attackers find and exploit security flaws even faster, leaving organizations with less time to respond. New SEC cybersecurity disclosure rules have also made cyber risk a board-level issue, but many executives still find it difficult to turn technical security data into clear business insights.

“We were fortunate to work closely with the Pulse team through our early investment in Respond, so I know they can deliver real transformation in security,” said Sid Trivedi, Partner at Foundation Capital. “The problem Pulse addresses is massive, expensive, and still solved largely by human effort. CISOs face accelerating risks that siloed technologies cannot address. At the same time, the CISO role within a company has been elevated to include regular board engagement.

Brett Wahlin, CIO of Aurora, notes, "Security teams often get lost in technical complexity, but CISO's must remain focused on overarching business risk. Success requires a clear understanding of a security program's health and the ability to translate technical data into strategic insights. The industry has long needed a system of record that provides ground truth transforming daily operations into meaningful, business driven intelligence.”
