Definity Raises $7M in Series A Funding

Definity, a vendor-neutral healthcare workforce platform, today announced a $7 million Series A investment led by Accrete Health Partners, the digital venture arm of Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH),with participation alongside other investors. The investment reflects a shared commitment to building technology designed for health systems, enabling greater visibility, flexibility, and control across internal and contingent labor. Definity will utilize the capital to scale the platform and expand its team.

Definity unifies critical workforce functions into a single, integrated platform, allowing hospitals and health systems to plan, source, and manage their talent more efficiently. By providing a single source of truth across labor pools, Definity gives health systems clear insight into workforce utilization and spend, optimizing workforce resources while maintaining quality of care. This investment comes at a pivotal time as health systems work to balance cost pressures, workforce sustainability, and evolving care delivery models.

The investment includes a strategic partnership with BSMH, which will leverage Definity’s platform to better manage its contingent workforce and build a more flexible, data-driven labor strategy.As part of the investment, BSMH’s Chief People Officer Allan Calonge will join Definity’s board, strengthening alignment between platform development and health system workforce needs.
