Digital Realty opens 6.4 MW Nairobi data centre as iColo rebrands

Customers at the facility can connect to more than 100 networks, two internet exchange points, and a satellite teleport. The satellite facility also provides connectivity to areas with limited terrestrial infrastructure.

The expansion comes as cloud adoption, digitalisation, data sovereignty, and demand for digital services continue to grow across East Africa.

The facility aims to strengthen Nairobi’s role as a regional digital hub while helping customers keep their data within required jurisdictions and connect to global platforms.

Built alongside Nairobi One (NBO1), NBO2 strengthens Digital Realty’s Nairobi campus for cloud and data-driven growth across East Africa.
