NYC-based Elektra Health secures $3.3million in funding. Led by UPMC Enterprises, the round increased the total amount of equity financing obtained to $7.6 million. Wavemaker 360, Flare Capital Partners, and Seven Seven Six Fund also participated.

NYC-based Elektra Health secures $3.3million in funding. Led by UPMC Enterprises, the round increased the total amount of equity financing obtained to $7.6 million. Wavemaker 360, Flare Capital Partners, and Seven Seven Six Fund also participated.

Along with the funding, Dr. Monica Jain from Wavemaker 360 and Kathryn Heffernan from UPMC Enterprises joined Elektraā€™s board of directors. With the money, the business plans to develop new markets and payers for its evidence-based care delivery platform, as well as self-insured companies.

Elektra Health, led by Jannine Versi and Alessandra Henderson, uses a proprietary, evidence-based menopause care model that incorporates telemedicine care, 100+ hours of evidence-based education, and private community support from peers in addition to dedicated 1:1 ongoing support from womenā€™s health experts (also known as ā€œmenopause doulasā€).

The organisation collaborates with health plans and businesses nationwide, including as EmblemHealth and Mass General Brigham Health Plan.
