EVIDENT Completes Acquisition of CrestOptics

Evident has completed the acquisition of CrestOptics S.p.A., a Rome-based company that develops and manufactures advanced optical imaging systems for microscopy.

The acquisition expands Evident’s life science imaging portfolio and strengthens its capabilities in high-speed, high-content 3D imaging for research, pharmaceutical and biotech applications.

Evident and CrestOptics have worked together for several years, with CrestOptics’ spinning disk technology already used in Evident’s microscope systems. The acquisition will strengthen and expand their existing partnership.

CrestOptics will continue operating from its headquarters, R&D and manufacturing facility in Rome. The company will also maintain its existing partnerships and distribution network while continuing to provide technology to the wider microscopy industry.
