Fort Health, a virtual pediatric mental health company, has raised $5.5 million in funding, bringing its total to $16 million. The investment round was led by Twelve Below and Vanterra. The company plans to use the funds to expand into Texas and Illinois through a partnership with NovaWell.

Founded by CEO Natalie Schneider, it offers in-network, virtual mental health services for children, combining primary care with behavioral health. In partnership with the Child Mind Institute, it works with pediatricians, nurses, and school staff to provide therapy, psychiatry, and parent coaching, all covered by insurance. Currently, Fort Health operates in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, with plans to expand to other states soon.

Natalie Schneider, founding CEO of Fort Health, in an email said, “Given that mental health concerns are now the top reason for pediatric visits, yet most pediatricians lack specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry, our partnership ensures children receive the comprehensive support they need,”.
