Garner Health, a NYC-based digital platform provider that helps patients find healthcare providers using data and financial incentives, has raised $100 million in a Series E funding round led by Index Ventures.
The round also saw participation from Kleiner Perkins, Redpoint, Thrive, Sequoia, Founders Fund, and Kaiser Permanente Ventures. The company is valued at $2.74 billion.
The company plans to use the funds to expand its healthcare provider quality platform, grow AI-powered product innovation, and bring Garner to millions more members.

When members choose high performing providers through Garner, employers often cover most or all out of pocket costs. This helps employees receive better care at lower personal cost while also reducing overall healthcare spending, since top providers are more likely to follow medical guidelines, avoid unnecessary procedures, and help patients recover faster.
Garner uses AI in two main ways: improving how it measures healthcare quality and improving the member experience.
It's new Garner Research Agent helps the company quickly and accurately evaluate clinical performance at scale. The AI automatically reviews the latest medical research and turns it into algorithms that measure the quality and efficiency of doctors across the country.
By combining new medical studies with Garner’s long-term patient data, the Research Agent helps keep the company’s clinical quality metrics current and highly detailed.
Demand for Garner continues to grow as employers look for better ways to manage rising healthcare costs. The company has also partnered with healthcare providers, including Mercy, Atlantic Health, Teladoc Health, and Marathon Health. These providers use Garner’s data-driven tools to improve care quality and identify top-performing specialists for patient referrals.
As more AI tools enter the market, employers and employees need reliable technology they can trust. Garner’s Research Agent and Garner Assistant are powered by a large claims database containing more than 60 billion medical records from 320 million patients, along with over 550 proprietary clinical metrics. This system helps Garner identify top healthcare providers with a high level of accuracy, while its incentive model encourages adoption, with more than 46% of eligible members using the platform.
Archer-Daniels-Midland, a leading global agriculture company with over 44,000 employees, has partnered with Garner to transform its benefit's program. "At ADM, we are committed to creating a culture of care where our employees feel supported in every aspect of their wellbeing," said Molly Strader Fruit, ADMs VP of Total Rewards. "Navigating healthcare shouldn't add stress to already busy lives and Garner has been an important partner in helping us remove that friction, connecting our people to high quality, eligible providers and making care more accessible. Together, we're helping ensure our employees can focus on what matters most."

"Healthcare doesn't change through incremental tweaks—it changes when consumers finally have the information and incentives they need to make better decisions about their care," said Nick Reber, Garner Health CEO. "Our mission at Garner is to fundamentally realign the system around quality by empowering people to choose the doctors who deliver the best outcomes. When you give consumers the right data and align incentives around better care, the entire healthcare system will change for the better."
"The American healthcare system pays doctors to do things to you, not for you. Garner is quietly fixing that," said Jahanvi Sardana, Partner at Index Ventures. "By using AI to make physician quality measurable for the first time, they've built the market mechanism healthcare always needed - one where employers, hospitals, and patients can finally see who delivers better outcomes, and the system rewards them for it. It's one of the most important applications of AI in healthcare today."
