The company plans to use the funds to expand its doctor ranking platform, improve its AI-powered navigation and appointment booking features, and grow its team to support its fast-growing customer base.
Garner Health is a leading digital platform that helps patients find top healthcare providers by leveraging advanced data and smarter financial incentives.
The funding comes as Garner experiences rapid growth, with revenue rising more than 130% year-over-year, as employers seek alternatives to traditional provider search tools.
The U.S. healthcare system has a major problem: there isn’t enough transparent data on doctor quality, and patients lack incentives to choose high-performing providers.
Garner uses one of the country’s largest medical data sets—over 320 million patient records—to identify doctors who follow the latest research, avoid unnecessary procedures, and help patients recover faster.
Unlike traditional transparency tools that don’t change employee behavior, Garner drives real engagement. It works as a financial administrator alongside existing health plans. When employees use Garner to find a top doctor, their employer covers most or all out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles and co-pays. This means employees pay about 80% less out of pocket, while employers see an average 12% drop in total healthcare costs in the first year.
“Garner achieves a rare double win in healthcare: guiding patients to the best doctors while lowering costs at scale,” said Josh Coyne of Kleiner Perkins. “Serving 2.5 million people already, Garner is changing how Americans access healthcare.”
“The most important health decision we make is choosing which doctor to see,” said Nick Reber, Founder and CEO of Garner Health. “Our data shows top-performing doctors have 75% lower rates of complications and mortality than others. By identifying these doctors, and giving patients financial incentives to see them, we’re not just saving money we’re reshaping healthcare to reward quality.”
Garner works with over 700 clients and partners, including some of the largest employers, health plans, and healthcare providers in the U.S.
