Helix Earth, a Houston, TX-based company developing a proprietary liquid-gas chemistry platform, has raised $12 million in a seed funding round led by Veriten.
The round also saw participation from Rua Ventures, Carnrite Ventures, Skywriter LLC, Textbook Ventures, and others.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Helix Earth is developing a unique, cost-effective add-on for commercial air conditioners that separates temperature control from moisture management. This leads to healthier indoor air, lower energy costs, reduced maintenance, and more comfortable spaces for both building owners and occupants.

“This investment will help Helix Earth scale manufacturing and speed up the rollout of our first product, a retrofit system aimed at transforming a large part of the $150 billion commercial air conditioning market,” said Rawand Rasheed, co-founder and CEO. “Building owners are facing rising energy costs, humidity issues, and aging systems with few affordable solutions. We’re already addressing these challenges for customers, and this funding will help us grow quickly.”
“We’ve spoken with many building owners, and they all want the same things—better comfort, improved air quality, lower energy costs, less damage from humidity, and longer-lasting AC systems,” said Dr. Rasheed. “Helix Earth delivers these benefits without the high cost of replacing existing equipment. This investment strengthens our belief that we can bring major improvements to industries that haven’t seen much innovation, helping both business performance and the environment.”
Maynard Holt, founder and CEO of Veriten, added, “We are increasing our investment in Helix Earth because the team has developed breakthrough technology with real impact across industries. Their first product will make a noticeable difference in energy use, and they are already working on new solutions to help heavy industries run more efficiently with less waste. This is a strong team with a solid track record of execution and smart use of capital.”
