
HeyGen, a platform that uses AI to create videos for businesses, has raised $60 million at a $500 million post-money valuation in a series A fundraising round.
With participation from Thrive Capital, BOND, Conviction, Bond Capital, and other investors, Benchmark led the round. Benchmarkās Victor Lazarte has become a member of the board of directors.
With a total of $74 million raised, the company plans to use the money to grow both its business and operations.

It is an AI video generation platform led by CEO Joshua Xu that lets organisations use their scripts to make studio-quality movies for marketing, communications, sales, learning & development, and moreāall without the need for a camera, cast, or crew. With HeyGenās AI voice and lip sync, users may also localise pre-existing videos into 175 languages and regional accents.
