Infinitus Systems Inc. has raised $51.5 million in Series C funding for its AI platform that automates healthcare phone calls. This round included investments from Andreessen Horowitz and Memorial Hermann Health System, along with existing backers like Kleiner Perkins Coatue, and GV (Google Ventures). The total funding for Infinitus now stands at $102.9 million. Scott Kupor from Andreessen Horowitz has joined the Infinitus board as part of this investment.

The company plans to use the new funds to speed up its development efforts. The current healthcare experience for patients and staff often falls short, with inefficiencies in operations causing delays in treatment and leading to employee burnout due to repetitive tasks.

It addresses this issue by allowing healthcare payors, providers, and drug manufacturers to automate the time-consuming process of making manual phone calls. Led by CEO Ankit Jain and CTO Shyam Rajagopalan, it uses a combination of advanced AI systems, human oversight, and a comprehensive knowledge database to automate data collection that would normally require phone calls.

Infinitus launched FastTrack, a specialized AI tool for healthcare. This tool helps call center staff connect with payors more efficiently by bypassing long phone menus and hold times speeding up administrative tasks and enhancing patient support.

FastTrack utilizes it’s AI system, which has learned from over 4 million calls. It knows which numbers to dial, can navigate complex phone menus, and waits on hold for reimbursement specialists or call center staff, connecting them as soon as a live agent answers. FastTrack can be used for tasks like processing claims, obtaining prior authorizations, and verifying benefits.
