Instacart Buys Instaleap to Grow Its Enterprise Platform Globally

Instacart, a leading grocery technology company in North America, announced it has acquired Instaleap, a global platform that helps retailers manage and grow their online operations more efficiently.
The acquisition supports Instacart’s plan to grow its enterprise business worldwide and develop technology that can power all grocery transactions.
Instaleap provides grocery-focused technology that helps retailers manage online operations, including marketplace integrations and fulfillment solutions. It works with nearly 100 grocery retailers and marketplaces outside North America, such as Cencosud, Continente, Jerónimo Martins, Lulu, and SPAR, and complements Instacart’s enterprise offerings.
The company operates in nearly 30 countries across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. So far, Instaleap has supported over 100 million transactions and has built strong local expertise in multiple global markets.

Instaleap will first operate as a fully owned subsidiary of Instacart to ensure a smooth transition for its retail partners. Instacart will continue supporting Instaleap customers with its existing products and, over time, plans to offer more of its enterprise solutions, including ecommerce, connected stores, retail media, AI, and data tools.

Storefront Pro is Instacart’s enterprise platform that powers digital grocery programs for over 380 retail banners, including Aldi, Costco, Publix, Sprouts, and Woodman’s.
Carrot Ads is Instacart’s retail media technology that helps more than 310 retailers and partners build and grow advertising businesses online and in stores, creating new revenue opportunities.
Caper Carts are AI-powered smart shopping carts that personalize the shopping experience, offer savings, and speed up checkout, and are already being used by retailers outside North America, like Coles in Australia and Morrisons in the UK. FoodStorm is an order management system for grocery departments that connects online orders with in-store preparation to improve efficiency and customer experience.
