Today, we’re announcing a huge milestone in our journey: a $48M fundraise led by Battery Ventures, Team8, Picture Capital, and NFX, with participation by Cerca Partners.
Looking back a decade, the endpoint feels like a completely different world. Back then, life was simple, all that existed was static binary software. And the attacks? Well, they were focused on the OS. DLL injections, Windows API hooking, the malware exploited OS vulnerabilities in order to accomplish it’s malicious goals.

Fast forward to today, the picture has shifted dramatically. Endpoints are no longer dominated by static binaries. Instead, non-binary software is the new king. Code and OS packages, AI models, extensions, containers and now even MCPs have taken center stage, outnumbering traditional binary software exponentially. Together creating the largest, most unguarded attack surface enterprises have ever faced.
With this evolution, attacks have transformed as well. Rather than targeting the operating system directly, threat actors now aim higher, striking at the software we use in our daily workflows. The focus has shifted to stealing passwords, files and code bases, SSH keys, and the countless pieces of sensitive data that move fluidly through modern endpoints.
See, legacy security and management solutions like EDRs and MDMs were not built to detect or manage this new software category, they were built and designed in a different era to solve different problems. All creating one of the biggest problems security teams at enterprises face today.
This is the exact reason Itay, Idan, and I started Koi, and we are extremely excited to be sharing this big milestone with you.
Koi is the world’s first solution to provide full visibility into every piece of software on the endpoint, binary and non-binary alike, and continuously evaluates risk using an agentic AI risk engine. We’ve built a product that enables organizations to curate what software is allowed in, and proactively block or remediate anything risky, malicious or non-compliant before it ever reaches the endpoint.
Koi is a new and modern model for endpoint security, putting productivity and employee experience first, while not compromising on protection. It is this approach that our early customers, Fortune 50 organizations, BFIS, and the world’s biggest tech and cybersecurity vendors, are excited about, because it addresses key pain points they haven’t been able to solve with other solutions.
