The company plans to use the funds to accelerate R&D on its autonomous vendor risk analysis engine and expand its go-to-market team to meet rising demand from highly regulated, digitally driven enterprises.

The company is focusing on highly regulated, digitally driven enterprises that need more flexible ways to manage third-party risk.

Lema AI operates at the intersection of cybersecurity and third-party risk management, tackling the limits of traditional compliance approaches as companies rely on thousands of external vendors—like SaaS providers and payment platforms—these third parties often have access to sensitive data and internal systems.

Research cited by Lema AI shows that many organizations now manage over 1,000 vendors, increasing their attack risk and highlighting the weaknesses of static, one-time compliance checks.

Instead of relying on questionnaires and manual assessments, Lema AI uses an agent-like AI trained to work like a vulnerability researcher. The platform continuously monitors vendor behavior, tracks access to critical assets, observes data flows and checks permission changes over time. By mapping potential attack paths from third parties, it identifies which vendors pose the highest operational risk, and why, helping security teams prioritize actions. The company says new vendors can be assessed in under five minutes.

Lema AI CEO Eddie Dovzhik said, “We started Lema AI because third-party risk should be treated as a security issue, not just a compliance checklist. Traditional manual assessments miss real-time context and the true impact vendors have on a business. Our platform, built by top security researchers, monitors a vendor’s actual ‘blast radius’ to uncover the risks that could really harm a company.”
