Neuron Factory, a Redwood City, CA-based provider of an AI-native preconstruction platform, has raised an undisclosed amount in a funding round led by Zacua Ventures, Trimble Inc., Suffolk Technologies, and Imad Ventures, with existing investors including Colle Capital.
The company plans to use the funds to speed up development of its AI platform and knowledge graph for the construction industry.
Neuron Factory, Inc., founded by technology leaders from Microsoft and Waymo, focuses on improving the early stages of construction projects, where key decisions about cost, risk, and contracts are made before work begins. Today, this preconstruction process is highly fragmented, with teams manually reviewing thousands of documents under time pressure and with limited shared information. With advances in technology, especially AI, the industry now has a strong opportunity to streamline this process, and construction companies are starting to adopt AI to solve these challenges.

Neuron Factory’s team combines deep expertise in AI systems, model training and large scale construction projects. Its AI-powered preconstruction platform simplifies workflows, supports teams, and improves productivity on complex projects, and is already being used by leading construction and building technology companies.
Unlike basic tools, the platform uses a knowledge graph to connect documents, teams and decisions, allowing it to understand relationships and dependencies more effectively than simple search methods. This makes it a core intelligence layer that can support AI across the entire construction process.
The platform is used daily for tasks such as risk analysis, drawing review, issue identification and scope of work generation throughout the pre construction phase. It integrates easily with existing tools and workflows, without requiring major system changes or extensive data preparation.
“We’re building an AI platform that fits easily into each company’s workflow and provides useful, customised insights,” said Zaid Kahn, CEO and co-founder of Neuron Factory. “Our knowledge graph for construction helps project managers make better decisions, improve efficiency and increase productivity.”
“The future of construction will be driven by companies that combine workflow understanding with strong technical expertise,” said Vivin Hegde of Zacua Ventures. “Neuron Factory’s team stands out, and their work on a true knowledge graph for preconstruction has been impressive.”
“AI is growing across construction, but preconstruction still has a big opportunity for change,” said Chris Stern of Trimble Ventures. “Neuron Factory’s platform brings smarter insights to early project stages, helping companies better evaluate and win projects.”
“Their ability to understand construction drawings and turn them into clear, useful insights can speed up risk analysis and improve decision-making,” said Parker Mundt of Suffolk Technologies. “Their rapid progress shows strong potential to deliver real value.”
“We are excited to support Neuron Factory as they expand globally,” said Tatiana Gholmie of Imad Ventures. “Their platform has strong potential in regions like Saudi Arabia and the GCC, especially for large and complex projects where better early decisions can make a big difference.”
