The company plans to use the funds to accelerate product development, expand its partner network, and increase marketing and sales to meet rising demand from SMB-focused service providers.
They aim to make voice AI the main tool for front-desk tasks at small and mid-sized businesses. Newo creates AI voice and text agents that sound human, helping businesses answer calls, schedule appointments, handle customer inquiries, and manage customer
messages across phone, SMS, web chat, and WhatsApp.
Unlike many voice AI systems that struggle outside the lab, Newo’s platform is built to handle real business needs effectively.
A key part of Newo’s value is its “Zero-Hallucination Architecture,” which uses multiple AI agents working together to double-check answers before they reach clients, preventing the mistakes common in typical AI models.
Solving a Big Problem for Small Businesses
Missed calls cost small businesses money—SMBs reportedly miss 20–40% of incoming calls because there aren’t enough staff or no one is available after hours. These missed calls often lead to lost appointments, sales, and opportunities to serve customers. Newo’s AI receptionists act like a front desk team that never clocks out, handling calls, routing them to the right person, qualifying leads, booking appointments, and answering basic customer questions—all without hiring extra staff. They integrate with your existing business number and tools, such as email, calendars, and CRMs, so you can add them without disrupting your current setup.
The system also delivers instant responses in less than a second, making the voice sound natural. This speed is essential for handling and routing live customer calls.
Newo’s voice AI works well even with background noise, different accents, and unclear questions.
Live calls pose challenges that many AI models struggle with. Newo’s approach is built to work in real-world situations, not just in tests or theory.
The startup uses a partner-first approach, enabling managed service providers, VoIP companies, software firms, and agencies to quickly offer Newo’s features under their own brand to small- and medium-sized business customers.
Newo says that more than 15,000 AI agents have been created on their platform, with early users mainly in dental practices, restaurants, home services, and cleaning companies.
Newo highlights customer success stories, like Image Orthodontics, a multi-location dental office in the SF Bay Area, which saw a 20% rise in incoming calls and over $400,000 in revenue growth in one quarter after using Newo’s AI receptionist.
