The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and support development efforts.

Obin AI, an enterprise AI company creating an intelligent workforce for financial institutions, has come out of stealth with a mission to make AI reliable for high-level financial decisions. While recent AI systems have shown strong results in coding and business tasks, financial institutions have higher standards. Decisions involving hundreds of millions of dollars need near-perfect accuracy, full audit trails, and compliance with regulations.

Obin AI has already partnered with several of the world’s largest financial institutions, moving from pilot programs to full production in weeks instead of months. In some cases, institutions reported accuracy high enough to use Obin AI’s outputs directly in their core workflows.

Financial institutions can use Obin’s AI agents to increase capacity, deploy capital faster, and assess risk more accurately. Obin sees AI not as a replacement for humans, but as a tool to enhance capacity, allowing firms to work more efficiently while keeping human judgment.

Unlike platforms that require companies to give up their data, Obin AI uses an open architecture that allows institutions to retain full control of their models, data and intellectual property. Its system is built for regulated environments, with every action fully auditable, traceable, and compliant with internal governance rules.

The platform also tackles a major challenge in financial services: preserving decades of institutional knowledge for AI use. Financial institutions rely on historical data, legacy documents, and unstructured records that need more than simple extraction—they require inference and cross-referencing. Obin AI’s system embeds this historical context into its agents, allowing deeper analysis across multi-decade data and complex financial documents.

The founding team brings strong experience in both finance and AI. Co-founder and CEO Apoorv Saxena was previously Head of AI at JPMorgan and also led several Google Cloud AI products, including Translate and Contact Center AI. Co-founder and CTO Dr. Valliappa (“Lak”) Lakshmanan is a veteran AI architect, former Google and Silver Lake executive, author of seven AI books, and a contributor to key applied AI research.

“In financial services, being 95% accurate can still mean being completely wrong,” said Apoorv Saxena, co-founder and CEO of Obin AI. “When managing billions or trillions of dollars, even a small error matters. Obin AI was built to handle that ‘last mile,’ giving institutions confidence to use AI for high-stakes, company-wide decisions.”

“In a crowded AI market, Obin AI stands out,” said Ramin Niroumand, Partner, Investments & Head of Venture at Motive Partners. “Led by experienced leaders in production-grade AI, Obin AI understands the reliability financial institutions need. With a system built for regulated finance and full enterprise control of IP, Obin AI is well-positioned to make AI work in the most critical environments.”

“Obin AI has moved from basic AI outputs to production-ready performance,” said E-John Lee, COO of Pinegrove Venture Partners. “This allows us to replace existing workflows rather than just improve them. They have been true strategic partners, and we value their focus on accurate and consistent results.”
