Old Well Labs (OWL) is an AI-powered platform that helps allocators and investment managers find, track, and connect. It gathers data from thousands of global sources and turns it into organized, searchable intelligence. The platform allows users to discover relevant firms, monitor important changes in the investment world, and build stronger, more informed relationships.
Capital Allocators is excited to invest in Old Well Labs. OWL provides the most detailed and insightful view of publicly available data on managers and allocators that I’ve seen in my career. Its information on holdings, business details, and people tracking creates an unmatched tool for both allocators and managers looking to learn more about each other,” said Ted Seides, founder of Capital Allocators.
“From our first conversation in 2024, we saw that Campbell and the Old Well Labs team bring together deep experience as former endowment professionals and the technical skills to deliver real value to their customers. At Teamworthy Ventures, we’ve partnered with several top teams building software and data products for capital markets and financial services, including Carta, Vestwell, Lithic, and Grata. We’re excited to support Old Well Labs as they build and grow the leading platform for connecting allocators and managers, meeting a clear and growing market need,” said Thomas Lehrman, Managing Partner at Teamworthy Ventures.
“We’re thrilled to welcome three new investors who share our mission and bring deep industry experience,” said Campbell Wilson, Founder and CEO of Old Well Labs. “We created OWL to help allocators find the right managers and save time on ongoing monitoring. Today, many top institutional investors use OWL every day. As we grow, we’re adding a curated group of fund managers to the platform, mostly by invitation from our allocator community, though managers can also apply through our website.”
OWL is led by Campbell Wilson, Zak May, Megan White, and Grant Carney, a team with strong experience in institutional investing and technology. Originally developed as an internal tool, OWL is now used by top endowments, foundations, OCIOs, family offices, pensions, and sovereign wealth funds, including Makena Capital, Pathstone, GEM Investments, DUMAC, Vanderbilt University, East Rock Capital, Star Magnolia, Investure, HF Capital, Virginia Tech, and others.
