Florida-Based onPhase Appoints Boyce Adams as Chief Payments Officer

In his new role, Adams will lead the company’s payments strategy and execution. He will focus on improving the payments roadmap, expanding platform capabilities and adding more value for customers using onPhase to automate invoice and payment operations.

The appointment comes as payments become a bigger part of the onPhase platform. Adams will focus on expanding payment capabilities and giving customers better visibility and control over payments made through the platform.

Adams brings more than 20 years of experience in payments, fintech and B2B software. As President and CEO of BankTEL, he helped grow the company to serve more than 2,000 financial institutions with accounting and compliance software.

He later chose AvidXchange as BankTEL’s strategic partner and led the company through its acquisition in 2019. Adams then joined AvidXchange’s executive team as Senior Vice President, where he worked through its 2021 IPO and led its strategic partnership with Mastercard.

Most recently, Adams was a Senior Operating Advisor at Aquiline Capital Partners, where he held board and advisory roles across its fintech and payments investments, including serving on the onPhase Board of Directors. He will step down from these advisory and board roles to take on his new position at onPhase.
