
Oran Development Company, a New York City–based provider of AI-powered Radio Access Networks (AI-RAN) and creator of the U.S. Odyssey RAN software platform, has raised $45 million in a Series A funding round.
The round saw the backers include Booz Allen, Cisco Investments, Nokia, and NVIDIA. Earlier investors included Phoenix Venture Partners and Cerberus Capital Management, L.P.
The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and development work.
This partnership speeds up the rollout of an AI-native, open-architecture platform and a U.S.-based RAN stack that brings together communication, sensing, and edge intelligence. ODC is working with top global customers and plans to expand these and other commercial projects throughout 2026.
ODC is building the “Distributed Compute Grid,” a core system for digital and physical infrastructure. By integrating NVIDIA AI Aerial for high-performance, software-defined 5G, ODC is enabling AI-RAN at the network edge. This setup turns cell sites into powerful compute hubs that support Agentic AI, real-time generative AI, and Physical AI applications critical for national infrastructure resilience.

The involvement of major mobile operators in Africa, Europe, and the United States highlights the worldwide reach of the ODC syndicate.
As AI and connectivity become vital for national security and economic strength, Booz Allen views ODC as an important part of secure, independent infrastructure.
This funding round is announced as the industry hits a key moment in merging AI and telecommunications. SoftBank Corp., a leader in the AI-RAN field, praised ODC’s vision of turning traditional networks into smart compute hubs.
