The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and development activities.
Oxide Computer Company, an on-premises cloud computing provider, designs and builds the Oxide Cloud Computer—a rack-scale system combining custom hardware and open-source software. It delivers a modern, on-site cloud-like experience, giving enterprises the self-service, API-driven capabilities of hyperscale clouds, with improved performance, control, and cost efficiency.
Customers relying on on-premises infrastructure value long-term stability, and Oxide’s latest funding round confirms the company’s vision. By doubling its total funding for the second time, Oxide has secured the resources and strategic support to advance its product roadmap, expand manufacturing, and deliver top tier customer support to enterprises globally for years to come.
“We built Oxide to rethink on-prem infrastructure, giving organizations the simplicity and automation of the cloud with top-level security,” said Steve Tuck, CEO and co-founder of Oxide. “This funding lets us support our customers for the long term, helping them plan and execute projects over decades.”
“Infrastructure requires long-term partners,” said Bryan Cantrill, CTO and co-founder of Oxide. “Oxide approached on-premises computing from first principles. The journey was challenging, but the result is clear: a secure, reliable platform that scales and brings the modern cloud experience to on-prem data centers.”
“Thomas Tull’s vision for secure, sovereign compute aligns with Oxide’s rapid growth,” said Gaetano Crupi, Managing Director at USIT. “With strong customer adoption and Oxide’s execution since our Series B investment, we saw a clear opportunity to increase our support. We’re backing a platform that redefines computing and ensures the U.S. has secure, top-tier digital infrastructure as the cloud becomes central to economic and national competitiveness.”
“Oxide delivers the simplicity of the cloud on-premises, with superior performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Through a single, vertically integrated, rack-scale system, Oxide brings hyperscaler-grade cloud capabilities directly into the data center,” said Seth Winterroth, partner at Eclipse. “As the global market searches for every possible advantage in compute and power efficiency, Oxide stands apart with a solution that has no real competition. This kind of platform shift defines categories, and Oxide is leading the way.”
